Why don't the clip fit in my brick at all?
You need to measure whether the height of the brick is between 2-1/4" to 2-3/8" for the clips to fit. And make sure your bricks that extend at least an 1/8" from the mortar. This also enables the clip to get a good grip on the brick.
-
My bricks are flush, will this work?
No. You need the mortar to be recessed around the brick to get it to work. Use a screwdriver to chip a little mortar off the top and bottom to sink down at least 1/8" to create a brick ledge, enabling the clip to grip and get the best secure fit.
-
My bricks are the right size. Why did the brick hooks still fall easily when I follow the installations?
The bottom spring may be too loose for the clip to catch the brick. You could use a plier to lift the spring and try it one more time. Besides, check the mortar joint is 1/8" deep enough for the bottom spring and upper teeth to catch securely.
